They are designed to develop not only the child’s technical abilities, but also their cognitive skills in areas such as problem solving, learning how to learn, and time management, which will help equip them for life.

TEENS AND ADULTS (BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE)

If you are an adult beginner, or are coming back to the piano, Steve will work with you to take your playing to the next level. A customized lesson plan will help you to reach your personal goals, whether they are specific (playing classical music, pop, accompanying yourself or others, learning to improvise) or more general (creating or re-establishing a rewarding and joyful relationship with music).

Students will always have a clear idea of what to practice and how to structure their time for maximum progress while enjoying the process.

PROFESSIONAL/ADVANCED

Because of my lifelong experience will all styles of music, I can work with classical players to develop a deeper understanding of harmony, structure, and color to allow them to take the music off the page, create more spontaneous performances, and even develop their improvisation skills.

For jazz players, my knowledge of the authentic way to play Latin and Brazilian rhythms will help you to make connections between jazz, classical, and world music while learning ways to practice more efficiently.
