Joyful Piano Lessons
with Steve Sandberg
Private piano lessons customized for all levels and styles with Steve Sandberg, international touring artist, pianist, composer and three-time Emmy nominee for his work on Dora the Explorer. Lessons can be held in his studio on the Upper West Side, in the student’s own home, or remotely via Zoom/FaceTime.
“Steve has a wonderful way of making piano lessons creative, and fun. He has quickly been able to pinpoint my specific needs, and does a wonderful job of explaining things in a way that makes sense, with genuine kindness and a joyful approach to making music.”
-Juliet Strong
“I’ve been studying with Steve for nearly a year now and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to do so. He’s patient and knowledgeable and helps me improve on the pieces and type of music that I’m actually interested in playing, rather than what one “should” know. Our hour together flies by even if we’re working on drilling or the tiniest minutiae of music theory. My playing has improved measurably and I credit Steve’s ability to help me focus on technique that can be applied to any type of piece or style one could be interested in. I would not hesitate to recommend Steve to a friend and am excited to be able to continue to work together.”
